Well, we wanted to do something useful and new on a web site, that's neither a store nor a brochure. So here's what we did:

Yes, that sounds weird, but with tightly encoded data, only a few data types, no uploading or downloading to a server required, we thought it sounded possible, and good.

Visual Data Objects

Inspired by Edward Tufte's 3 wonderful books (not available on Amazon), we like displaying data visually, and representing a bookshelf seemed a logical first experiment
